In addition to Exercise Physiology and Pilates, the MOSIC community have access to another wonderful exercise class, the Bodhi suspension system. The Bodhi unit at our Collins Street studio takes suspension training to a new level with twice as many suspension points as other systems on the market. It allows you to be suspended by all four limbs, which forces you to work your core in a much more potent way.

The system was created by world-leading Pilates equipment manufacturer Balanced Body, and the high-quality apparatus is designed with similar values and principles as traditional Pilates equipment. It provides an extra level of functional training that utilises bodyweight resistance and is complimentary to both Pilates and Osteopathy.

Why four points of suspension? Essentially, the extra two points provide engagement across all muscular sling systems in the body. For example, while having both hands suspended and working, a client can challenge their balance and stability by also suspending one foot in a loop, increasing the requirements of stability and connection front to back and side to side.

The additional suspension points also make exercise classes with the Body Suspension System fun! Classes build up to include hanging and swinging and provide an extremely challenging full body work out.

At MOSIC, Bodhi suspension classes are run three times per week by  Nicole Dixon, our Bodhi Suspension instructor, Pilates instructor and Studio Manager. Each class runs for 30 minutes.
