WorkCover osteopathy
At Melbourne Osteopathy Sports Injury Centre, we're an approved WorkSafe Victoria service provider, with osteopathy clinics conveniently located in Melbourne CBD (Bourke Street) and Essendon.
If you've been injured at work, we're here to support you throughout your recovery. Eligible workers in Victoria can access osteopathic treatment through the WorkCover program, helping them manage pain, restore movement, and return to work safely and confidently.
How to access WorkCover osteopathy
Accessing osteopathic treatment through WorkCover is simple:
- Lodge your WorkCover claim with your employer and WorkSafe Victoria.
- Once your claim has been accepted, contact our friendly team to book your appointment.
- Bring your WorkCover claim number (and any relevant paperwork) to your first consultation.

What to expect from your treatment
Our registered osteopaths provide personalised treatment designed to reduce pain, improve movement and function, and help you return to work and your everyday activities with confidence.
Your treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs and goals. As part of the WorkCover program, your care follows the nationally endorsed Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services, ensuring treatment is based on current evidence and best practice. This includes:
- Focusing on measurable improvements throughout your recovery
- Taking a whole-person (biopsychosocial) approach to your care
- Encouraging active participation in your rehabilitation
- Setting meaningful functional goals
- Providing treatment based on current evidence and best practice
Working together to support your recovery
Recovering from a workplace injury often involves more than treatment alone. Our practitioners communicate and collaborate with your GP, employer, insurer and other healthcare providers (where appropriate) to help coordinate your care.
We also identify any barriers that may be affecting your recovery and work with you to help you return to work safely and in your fullest capacity.
You do not need a referral from your GP to see an osteopath under the WorkCover program.
