Exercise Physiologist & Pilates InstructOR

Jennifer is a passionate Exercise Physiologist who has worked extensively in private practice providing 1-on-1 Exercise Physiology services as well as group based Pilates and Exercise Rehabilitation classes.

After working as a gym instructor and personal trainer, Jennifer became particularly passionate about rehabilitating injuries and helping people improve their quality of life. This prompted her to complete a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Human Movement where she expanded her knowledge of movement, physiology and biomechanics. She then went on to complete her Masters in Applied Science (Exercise Rehabilitation) while working as a Physiotherapy assistant for Austin Health.

Working across both acute hospital wards and the inpatient rehabilitation centre alongside senior Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists provided Jennifer with extensive experience in a diverse range of areas such as cardio-pulmonary, neurological, surgical, oncology and hydrotherapy.

Jennifer thrives on extending her skill base and considers herself a perpetual student. She strongly believes in providing a client-centred approach to exercise and rehabilitation solutions that fit in with her clients’ lifestyles and busy schedules. Jennifer treats the whole person, not just the injury or condition.

When not working, Jennifer keeps busy running after her two little children. Any spare time is usually spent gardening or playing guitar and she loves getting into the home gym for a good strength training session.

Jennifer’s areas of special interest include: women’s health (including pre/post natal, PCOS, endometriosis, menopause); persistent pain & fatigue; and osteoarthritis, osteopenia/ osteoporosis.

Jennifer is an accredited Exercise Physiologist and full member of Exercise Sports Science Australia.
